New Jeeper Jeep Tip: Keeping it Clean

I have a lot of people ask me how I keep the Jeep so clean and the obvious answer is that I don’t get it dirty. It’s been in the rain only a handful of times and in the dirt/mud about that many times or less.

But with that out of the way, there are some tricks I’ve learned over the years to keep it looking good.

I get it professionally detailed and waxed once a year, usually at Jeep Beach in Daytona. After that, I maintain with a good spray wax/detail. I’ve used several brands and they are all pretty good so far. I usually buy what’s on sale. I’m currently using @adamspolishes and so far it’s been pretty good as well.

For the tires, @hendersongreg told me about using Scrubbing Bubbles. It strips all the junk off (tire shine and road grime) and leaves your tires looking great.

Careful with it if you have powder coated wheels as it can leave spots on some powder types.

It did it to mine a little. Just don’t let it sit too long or dry. I never really use tire shine anymore because of this.

If you need tire shine tips, chat with @atl_xjk, he uses it for everything from waxing up his tires to keeping a golden tan in the summer. #protip

For the glass, I always use the @officialrainxglass cleaner. I love that stuff!

And last but not least, for the motor and suspension I use @gunk engine cleaner and degreaser.

It’s, in my opinion, the best combo product for the engine there is.
